LEAD STYLIST, TEDDY CHARLES FOR FEKKAI – THE LOOK OF RAG & BONE

Teddy Charles, lead stylist for Frédéric Fekkai, created a rough and tousled look full of texture and volume for the Rag & Bone Spring 2010 show.  After a few spritzes of Fekkai Tousled Wave Spray he rolled hair to make it piecey.  He then wrapped and teased the hair into messy tendrils with Fekkai Full Blown Volume Lifting Hairspray.  He completed the look with the Fekkai Au Natural Dry Shampoo to create a matte finish.

HOW TO GET THE LOOK:

Adir first started out by applying the FEKKAI COIFF™ NONCHALANT PIECING & FORMING WAX to the palm his hands and then added the FEKKAI COIFF™ EXTRA CONTROL STYLING GEL for extra texture and shine. He applied this to her damp hair until it was full saturated.

To get the right texture with short layered haircut like Kristen's, you must apply enough products until you get it to look right and feels right. It is important to fully saturate the hair with product.

Once the product was in the hair he took a blow-drier and hand dried into his desired style, directing all the hair with his fingers back to the nape of her neck.

To finish the look, he took the back of the hair and pulled it into a twisted ponytail letting the ends out and then spraying the front with the FEKKAI SHEER HOLD HAIRSPRAY. Make sure to leave random pieces out for a more chill vibe.

INSPIRATION: Adir wanted to create a modern day Veronica Lake look that had wonderful movement and softness with lots of shine and bounce.

TO GET THE LOOK: Adir started by creating a very strong side part. To form a perfect side part, follow the arch of the eyebrow to the back of the head.

Adir then applied FEKKAI ZERO-HUMIDITY FRIZZ CONTROL from the roots to ends; next he applied FEKKAI BOUFFANT only at the roots to add a little body. He then blow-dried the hair with a round brush to create the perfect texture.

Once the hair was completely dry, he took a 1 1/4 curling iron and curled her hair, and then pinned it in place. He did not curl the hair at the root, because he wanted the top of the hair to stay smooth, but wanted to give the rest of the hair body.

After curling, he then let the hair cool down for 10 min and took out the pins. He brushed out the curls with a FEKKAI CLASSIC BRUSH for the perfect smoothness, softness, and bounce.

To finish this look he applied FEKKAI NONCHALANT CREAM to top of her head, to smooth away all those tiny flyways. Finally he added a little bit of FEKKAI SHEER HOLD HAIRSPRAY to lock in the style.

What it is:An ultra-moisturizing shampoo for damaged or color-treated hair. $23.00 Each

I have been coloring my doo for a long time.. I am brunette but love the Red family of colors and as anyone know.. Reds are the hardest to get to stay! I find that in the summer months I need to color my hair almost every 2 weeks. It's a problem for me since it COSTS a fortune.. I found this shampoo & cond. about 2 years ago and these are 2 products that I can't get enough of.. I totally find myself always coming back to them.  They really help protect the color and are gentle on my hair. It's shiny and healthy after each use. The shampoo needs a little water to be added to get a serious lather going but once it does, I am golden! I do use more of the conditioner than the shampoo so I like to buy the big 16oz to every 8oz shampoo.  I always have more but end up using this as a deep conditioner by slathering all over the doo and swaddling my doo in a towel and flip on the tube and chill. The results are quite spectacular. My hair is so soft and silky and shiny.. I do switch around but what junkie doesn't?
