Gotta Get It ~ Shiseido Radiant Lifting Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 17

By Makeup Addict · September 4, 2012 · 0 Comments ·

Shiseido Radiant Lifting Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 17    $45.00   Available @ Sephora

An antiaging foundation with innovative light technology to eliminate shadows and give skin a radiant, youthful glow.
What it does:
Revive your skin with light.Radiance Reflecting Powder provides a soft-focus effect and luminosity for a more youthful, lifted appearance for 12 hours and a rich moisturizing effect for 24 hours.  Smooth wrap oil, hydroxyproline, and rose apple leaf extract provide abundant moisture to help counteract wrinkles and firm the skin.

Makeup Addict could possibly open up a 'Foundation Store' with the unbelievable number of foundations I have tried.  I kid you not - I am always willing to give the new guy on the market a chance.  I have had incredible luck with just about any Shiseido product I have tried - and, in most instances, I have gone on to include them in my makeup arsenal.  I have yet to get my hands on Shiseido Radiant Lifting Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 17, however, I ran into a friend who I have not seen for a while today and she looked positively radiant.  I mentioned how terrific she looked and she credited Shiseido Radiant Lifting Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 17.  She is a very attractive woman who had looked a bit tired the last couple of times I saw her.  I could not get over how well she looked today. She looked fresh, radiant, and actually a bit younger (not enough to suspect a lift - but enough to notice how wonderful she looks).  I definitely need to get some Shiseido Radiant Lifting Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 17 to see if I can get the same results!!

Peter Thomas Roth Instant Mineral SPF 30   $30.00  Available @ Peter Thomas Roth

Brush on powder for immediate, any time UVA/UVB sun-protection. Talc-free translucent matte finish with Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide, Willow Bark Extract and Vitamins A, C & E. Works immediately to block out the sun's harmful UVA/UVB infrared rays to help prevent sunburn, skin damage, freckling & uneven discoloration.

This top selling sunscreen works immediately to block out the sun's harmful UVA/UVB rays. Helps prevent sunburn, skin damage, freckling & uneven discoloration. The silky smooth, finely milled, mineral powder is ideal for all skin types and all skin tones.

Makeup Addict saw this Peter Thomas Roth Instant Mineral SPF 30 on "The View" and I was very impressed.  This can be applied over makeup as it is translucent.  Because it is translucent it can even be used on children as it does not show and it will not appear as makeup.  This is really great as it will not smudge or ruin my makeup and, if I dared, I could use it without makeup.  Peter Thomas Roth Instant Mineral SPF 30 sounds like a win-win product!!  $30 is a reasonable cost for great sun protection.

Gotta Get It ~ tarte bottoms up ~ (Lower Lash Mascara)

By Makeup Addict · September 17, 2009 · 0 Comments ·

Have a whole new reason to celebrate with the first mascara specifically designed to precisely coat each and every bottom lash.  We've paired a long-wearing, flake-free formula with a precision tapered brush that allows you to target the tiniest of lashes and wide-set bristles that separate and evenly coat.  The ergonomic component ensures easy application for perfectly defined bottom lashes.

skinvigorating™ ingredients:

  • mineral pigments: natural, non-irritating colorants
  • provitamin B5: treats and thickens lashes
  • olive esters: conditions, treats and protects lashes
  • carnauba wax: ensures a smooth application    $16.00   Available @ Drugstore.com

Makeup Addict noticed that a friend's eyes looked particularly nice and when I commented she said she has starting using a product she absolutely loves - tarte bottoms up.  She explained that it is a mascara designed for the Lower Lashes and she finds it much easier to use for the lower lashes than regular mascara.  She thinks she is better able to apply the mascara and that she gets a much better look when she uses the tarte bottoms up.  I am not going to argue either way -- except to say that her eyes looked better than usual and they usually look very nice.  So this is another product we need to get our hands on.

Makeup Addict has heard many good things about anything PHYTO but just read a little blurb in ELLE by one of the Associate Editors.  She simply stated "Nothing build body in my superfine hair like PHYTO Phytovolume Actif Volumizer Spray".  I am always on the hunt for anything that adds volume and this sure sounds like an endorsement!!  This was not an advertisement -- it was a page highlighting the various editors favorites in different categories.  It appears to be something I should be tracking down!!
