METSV says: No seriously, I am in love with this stuff. I was given about 8 "single serve" packs of these in all three varieties - Classic, Gentle, and Deep and they are truly great. I started with the Gentle to ease myself into them (my skin is sensitive) and have settled on Classic for my needs, though it really is a toss up because they're all good. I start with a slightly wet face and hands and pour the powder in my hands, then I gently rub together to get a creamy consistency and apply to my face in a massaging motion - I don't feel any grainy, messy stuff in my hands or on my face - it's really creamy and there's not even a detectable fragrance - I massage in for one minute, avoiding my eyes, then rinse. I am telling you my skin is baby soft - I just can't get over it and it doesn't feel stripped or sore or over-exfoliated - just clean and glow-y and polished. Each formulation has a slightly different line up of ingredients - for example, the Gentle has licorice root in it - a known gentle skin brightener and the Deep features an ingredient called Dokudami which I have to assume is for the deeper (but still gentle) exfoliation. All feature a proprietary blend of rice bran, green tea, and red algae extract. Like I said - I love all three. I don't think there'a any turning back now that I've used these. Once or twice a week is really all you need for a beautiful glow and the removal of any dead skin that's been hanging around. Love 'em.
Mr Traveler says... This is a great product. I have always favored a cleanser of this type. What I like about this powder is that it starts off as a gentle scrub and then morphs into a rich lather.. I also like that it has no detectable scent, so with my sensitivity to strong scented products I was relieved to find out that this product did not have one. My routine starts off by wetting my face then sprinkling the powder into my hands.. It feels familiar and reminiscent of finely milled grain.. Once it's in my hands I bring them up and start to work the product into my premoistened face. The scrubbing aspect lingers just long enough to do a little exfoliating before dissipating; what remains is a rich although light lather that is easily rinsed away with water. my face is left clean and feeling very refreshed. I also noticed that it doesn't cause that dry tightened feeling that many other products have left me with. I have been using this product for several weeks now and one of them was during a trade show in the mid west. These trade shows are demanding in many ways and can wreak havoc on your complexion. I used this product during some very stressful days and still enjoyed great results without any of the usual redness. I absolutely enjoyed using it will continue too use it and would recommend this product to everyone.
Makeup Addict got all three (Gentle, Classic, and Deep) of this Tatcha Polished: Classic, Gentle, and Deep Rice Enzyme Powder. To be honest I put off trying them as I was thinking of some old powder cleansers I have used in the past. They stunk and they were very harsh!! At the time I really thought, Wow, if it is that harsh it must really work and clean. Sure it did - I actually burned my skin with them. Anyway, I figured it is about time to try Tatcha Polished: Classic, Gentle, and Deep Rice Enzyme Powder and get them out of the way and let my skin recover. So I tried the Gentle first. Yikes - they are not lying -- it is the softest powder that I mix with water and massage onto both my hands and face. Then I rinse everything off - voila -- incredibly soft hands and face. Sorry I waited so long! As mentioned in the other reviews - one of the best features is 'fragrance free". I prefer no fragrance, especially when massaging onto my nose and the skin around it. I was so happy with the Gentle that I did not want to try the others - but I needed to. Now I am confused - I love them all - what shall I do???? The difference is so minute that it was almost impossible to discern. I was certain that Deep would be harsh, but, no, it isn't. I think it might just get more into my pores and I actually need that. So, all in all, I can and will use all three of these Tatcha Polished: Classic, Gentle, and Deep Rice Enzyme Powders. But due to my excessively large, deep pores I think I might use 'Deep' more often. After all of my concern - I am picking the one I was most dreading!! Tatcha Polished: Classic, Gentle, and Deep Rice Enzyme Powder is incredible for my skin. I thought I might actually feel the tiny little powders but they mix so well with the water that all you feel is the creamiest, rich lather being massaged in - and when it is rinsed off - WOW. My results are just the most incredibly soft, fresh and clean skin!!!
