METSV says...Seriously GREAT mask.  I love this.  I was telling someone just today that after I had used this mask, I had decided to not wash my hair for a couple of days to see what would happen.  I am telling you, my hair maintained its body, never looked greasy or dull, and it maintained such a nice shine that I almost thought I could go another day.   I don't know much about this Indian Gooseberry, but I do know that it does wonders to keep my doo shiny, healthy, and vibrant.  I do not go easy on my hair at all - I actually doubleprocess now...So I have color then highlight on top of that - top it off with usual daily washing, blowdrying, and either flat ironing or curling, and that leaves me with hair that can easily be compromised - it can cause breakage, dullness, frizziness, dryness - you name it...But when I use this mask it's like all is forgiven b/c it instantly brings it back to health.    My color always looks like it was just done too - you know how shiny it looks right after you leave the salon after a coloring session - yea, that's what this mask does for my hair.  This has absolutely become a staple in my shower.  I look forward to using it (I use it once a week) because I know it'll be a good hair day when I do!

The smell is great, not too strong but smells noticeably fresh and clean.   The cream itself isn’t really thick, which lessens the chance that your hair will look flat, in my opinion.  Immediately after applying the product, my hair felt so smooth. As I was rinsing the product out for the first time, I just knew that my dried hair would be smoother as a result.  The smell is faint and doesn’t last long after you wash the product out. Your hands don’t become greasy after you squeeze some into your hands… which is a definite plus with this mask.   It’s a good sized bottle and I only had to  use two squirts to moisturize my whole head. With hair masks, I am always careful about applying the product near my roots.  For this mask, I started about halfway down my hair and continued to smooth the product out to the ends of my hair. I doubt this would make your head greasy, but I have had experience with hair masks weighing my roots down.  I use a lot of products and heat applications on my hair so I am always looking for a great mask to help with the damage I’ve caused. This is a great product and I’d highly suggest.

I started out last week with a glob of this mask since I need to really slather it into  my hair.   I have shoulder length color treated, blow dried, straightened and dry hair. So my doo is always in need of moisture and lots o help.  I used this in the shower, washed the doo first then applied it.   I left it on while I showered and shaved the stems so I probably left it in for about 15 minutes.  I rinsed and it felt silky soft so after towel drying I dried my hair. I can't get over the transformation.  My hair lays flat with no frizz.  My hair has some un-natural frizz from over processing. So when I finished drying without any product I couldn't believe it.. Silky soft hair, hair that felt healthy and soft. I also noticed that my crisp ends were not looking prickly but laid flat and actually looked and felt healthy.  I am at the end of the cut so it looks a little ragged!  I can run my fingers through my hair and it feels good - not like a donkey's tail.  I really think I can get a couple more weeks out of my haircut too.  This mask smells great too.   It's really an  organic natural scent  with no perfuminess there.   I am on my second week of use and I have cut the initial dollop into just a little over a quarter sized amount.  I am now using it 2x a week, first week I used 3x.  I don't need 3x anymore and I really think with continued use that I will only need once a week.  I am telling you this does seem like an expensive product but it's more than worth the price for what you get out of it.   Neil George is a genius!!  My hair is always light and airy, not weighed down or greasy.  I have fine hair too so it's good for all the fine femmes out there also.    I use this in conjunction with the Indian Gooseberry Treatment Oil and they work wonderfully together, I feel like I have a new head of hair!

Makeup Addict tracked down this Neil George Intense Repair Mask even before finishing my review of his Neil George  Indian Gooseberry Treatment Oil (separate review).  The Treatment Oil had me convinced that I need Neil George'stotal line.  Now I know I have to!!  This Repair Mask is truly one wondrous treat for my hair.  This is a good treat - I know some of the treats I feed myself are not good for me.  This just simply leaves my hair feeling so silky soft, smooth, and full!!  First treatment convinced me that this has  definitely found a place in my hair care regime.  I only need a couple of drops for it to work its magic in my hair.  I was very pleasantly surprised to see no frizzies when I went out into the rain and humidity.  That is one huge benefit for me.  My hair usually cannot help itself -- it just stubbornly frizzes up with the least provocation.  So when it did not frizz up the other day -- I really took notice.  I found the fragrance to be fresh and clean and it dissipates very quickly when rinsed out.  His Treatment Oil is not oily -- this Repair Mask is not oily.   It leaves no coating or residue as some products do.  Thus, my hair is not weighted down to start out with after using this.  I cannot get over the life these Neil George products infuse my hair with.  My hair not only feels silky soft and full -- it looks shiny and healthy and is much easier to manage.  The cost is very reasonable and you barely need a dab to do the job so this tube is going to last me a while.  You can bet I will be replacing it with the exact same Neil George Intense Repair Mask when it is empty.

Allicat says.. I am a big fan of this mask, It works really well on my fine hair without weighing it down or making it lifeless. I have highlighted my hair only a couple of times in the past 5 years and don'r consider my hair to be damaged but that doesn't mean that my hair can't reap the benefits for a repair mask.. This adds shine, softness and body. No matter what the condition of your hair, this is worth trying, you will amazed at the transformation that occurs, My hair is healthy but Neil George has taken my hair to another level of softness and shine.  My hair is like fine silk!

Susaroo says... Neil George is amazing. I have brown hair but have been coloring it blonde for 15 years. Recently I decided to go back to my natural color and then a week later decided to go back to blonde. Well lets just say that my hair was completely fried. The 1st time I used the repair mask was unbelievable!!  I put the mask on and my hair immediately soaked it up.  I left it on for 15-20 minutes before rinsing it out and could not believe the results, soft manageable hair that has an amazing shine again. ( I also used the  Indian Goosebury Treatment Oil, also amazing). I have been using the mask for 3 weeks. I started out using it everyday but now just 1 time a week. It does not weigh your hair down at all so you could use it as a daily conditioner if you wanted to. Neil George's products can't be beat!! A must for everyone who has chemically treated hair!!
