83rd Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals

Entertainment Tonight co-host and RUSK Official Spokesperson Nancy O'Dell looked flawless at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards.  As she prepared to interview Hollywood's A-listers in a stunning Grecian inspired Vera Wang gown, Nancy was sure to pair the look with a modern up-do that would stay in place throughout the night.  With the help of celebrity stylist, Bobby H. Grayson, who has worked with the likes of Jennifer Aniston and Cameron Diaz, Nancy completed her look with an elegant high chignon.

To re-create your own red carpet worthy hair, Grayson shares his styling tips:

Step 1:
Grayson began by applying RUSK's Deepshine Oil to Nancy's towel-dried hair in order to achieve shine and prevent heat damage from styling tools.

Step 2:
Grayson sectioned Nancy's hair before drying.  He used 3 of RUSK's CTC Hot Rollers on the front, top section of the hair to create extra lift.  As the rollers were setting, he continued drying the rest of her hair using a round boar bristle brush.

Step 3:
Once Nancy's hair was completely dry, Grayson gathered the hair closely on the sides to create a high pony tail.  He then used a tail comb to tease the pony tail for added volume & sprayed thoroughly with the RUSK W8less Hair Spray.

Step 4:
Grayson twisted the hair from the pony hair around itself until it was gathered into a high bun and secured with both long and short hair pins.

“Securing hair pins can always be tricky.  Hair pins should move up into the hair along the edge of the bun.  I always suggest having pins enter the hair from the top and then moving them up once they are in the hair.”

Step 5:
For the final touch, Grayson removed the 3 hot rollers at the top of Nancy’s head and lightly brushed out the hair with his fingers to give add a slight plume in the front.
