METSV says: In my 6th week of using this sytem, I think it's time for my review...I wanted to make sure I gave it enough of time before coming on here to crow about it...which I am about to do.... So, here's the scoop with me...I've been coloring my hair for ages....highlighting, foiling, whatevs, I've done it...I'm just meant to be blonde, I guess! I am a generally healthy person, so my hair was in decent shape, but as I rounded the age of 40, I noticed that my hair wasn't growing as fast, was looking kind of dull and blah, was getting harder to find a style that worked for me...etc... I kept telling my hairdresser that I was growing it out, only to see it get to a point that it looked so dead that I couldn't wait to get to the salon to get it chopped off...enter Michael Clarke and his 3-step system, one I would advise that you use all 3 products for the best results, though you can purchase them separately. my initial whining about having to use a pre-wash treatment came to an abrupt halt when I discovered how much better the trio worked when using the pre-wash. It could very well be my favorite of the three. My favorite method is using the pre-wash the night before and letting my hair air dry then washing it the next day, though I have used it early in the a.m. letting it sink in for about an hour, then giving it a good wash and condition with the other two producs. Either way, I think the pre-wash is instrumental to the health of my hair. Both the shampoo and conditioner are light - my hair doesn't feel weighed down or waxy - just clean and full of body. The shine factor is just huge. This winter has been brutal to my hair and to see so much shine is just unreal. It looks so healthy too. Rare for me is the fact that I have not been all that tempted to use my regular faves in my shower - I'm quite content with these products and I was determined that I would use them a good month to see if I saw a difference -- and I DO. I know this because I feel like the ends of my hair look thicker and less stringy thereby giving me more time between trims. My stylist has been on maternity leave and I find I'm okay with waiting it out until she gets back as far as cutting it goes - on the other hand...I can not WAIT to get it colored...normally, I can go about 8 weeks before the dreaded grays make their appearance, but because ithink this system is helping my hair grow, the Cruella streak down my part has GOT to go. I swear it's a couple of inches of growth and I never usually notice it this quickly....so I think that alone is a testament to the system working. Even when the remainder of the shampoo and conditioner are gone, I will continue to use the pre-treatment as I've grown to love what it's doing for my hair. Oh - also bonus - with this system you get a comb - doesn't get tangled in my hair and is very gentle combing through after I get out of the shower. Give this some time and it'll pay you back in healthy, shiny, vibrant looking hair. Love.
I came across Michael Van Clarke's 3 more inches system just surfing the web one day. I noticed how great reviews it recieved and immediately wanted to give it a try. If your anything like me, I used to have platinum blonde hair (Im a receptionist at a salon) so getting addicted to keeping up with dying the roots is a very easy thing to get hooked on, especially since i never have to pay full price. One day i wanted to try something new, Ombre that is. Only this time my trusted hair dresser did not color my hair, it was another hair dresser friend who has never touched my hair but seemed confident she knew what she was doing. However, she did not. My hair was completly fried at the end where she tried bleaching it (my hair was past my shoulders), which ended up having to be cut into a short bob. A short brown bob. I absolutly hated it and wanted to hide in my room forever. I waited about a month for my original hairdresser to die my hair blonde again, just to feel like myself since the ombre didn't work out.
