cakedoo1 says... I have this in 5r Lightest Red Brown, my natural hair is medium to dark brown. I do get full color and foils from my stylist. . The color on the box is a gorgeous reddish brown that I would die to have! I have my hair colored every 5 weeks so you know its not cheap to keep up with and seriously I could go every 3-4 week but because of the price I opt to wait it out which means that my roots are showing and the color is fading.. So when I read about Kelly Van Gogh's line, it screamed out to me! This is what i need.. I have used the drugstore boxes in the past but using red colors I always ended up with a good color for the first couple of days then it got brassy. Reds are tough so I just stopped and started to only go to the salon for help. Well, Ladies & Gents it's been a week since I used the Root Rebab and I am telling you it's a really great system that is easy to use and the color is great and I am not seeing any brassiness popping up. So when coloring what is important to me is.. coverage, coverage for grays(I have had those since I was 25), color and how gentle it is  on my hair..

So Kelly's concoction smells nothing like a hair dye it actually is just about absent from the chemical fragrance, I smell a lovely perfume scent which is refreshing when putting on in the bathroom. It's a nice thick consistency too, so no drips or spatters. I also want to mention easy peasy for mixing it up and the gloves are really nice  (heavier than any kits I have used before). They fit my hands and don't fall off! YEAH! The directions are super easy to follow and the brush applicator is not so wide so as an amateur it's easy to maneuver to get the job done quickly. I left on the required 30-40 minutes since I do want to cover the grays, when that time elapses I then used the remaining dye and pulled through the rest of my hair and left on for 10 minutes, since this is a new color for me, I thought I will at least get a little through the ends in the event the roots were completely different from my ends.

Rinsing was really easy and every bit washed off of my skin without leaving any marking, now that is INCREDIBLE! I shampooed then conditioned. towel dried and was off for the dry. My hair was soft and easy to manage, not knotty at all. I was so presently surprised to see the results. It's a gorgeous jewel toned reddish brown and the color looks like it was done in the salon, its not overly red and there is no brass at all..My hair feels healthy and has been really shiny, the color is holding up and I love it. This is a great kit for anyone out there! Its perfect in a pinch and great to lengthen your visits to your stylist. It's really an easy to use and the color range offered is great to..
