Gotta Check These Out! Sonia Kashuk Brush Couture five-piece set

By Makeup Addict · August 18, 2011 · 0 Comments ·

Sonia Kashuk Brush Couture five-piece set   $14.99     Available @ Target

Make a statement with this stylish five-piece brush set that matches your cosmetic bag for a pulled together, polished look on-the-go. This professional quality set includes a Synthetic Powder Brush, Multipurpose Blending Brush, Large Eye Shadow Brush, Syntheitc Crease Brush and Smudge Brush.

Makeup Addict is thrilled that I found this Sonia Kashuk Brush Couture five-piece set under In Style's 'Best Bargain Beauty Buys".  I have difficulty lfinding one brush that is really good for $15 - never mind -5 for $15.  However, In Style actually said "The bristles on these cute symthetic-blend brushes feel so soft, we'd swear they were made of goat hair.  Makeup pro Kristofer Buckle likes them so much he snapped up two sets."  I have to say that sounds like a very hearty endorsement and I guess I can spend the $15.00 to find out for myself.  I will go to the store, in order to avoid delivery charges.

This is a cute brush set. I purchased the blue couture single brushes on clearance and I am blown away by the quality of the brushes. I have the multi, contour, and the eyeshadow brush and the bristles are made of animal hair and I washed it like five times and little to no shedding.

Thanks for the information - I went to my local Target last night and they did not have this set. I am returning today with the article from "In Style" and hopefully they can locate it. I did feel the brushes in their other Sonia Kashuk set and they did feel much more expensive. The girl who worked there said she is big into brushes and she is surprised at the quality of the Target Up and Up brushes. She thought they were amazing so I will check those out also.

You shouldn't have to do all that. Just go to Target.com and do a search on those brushes. Then check if it is available at your local Target. The one pictured is not out yet, well in the Targets by me but the blue and white ones were but it is slim pickings.

Actually, I went to another Target and they had already sold out a 5 brush package for $14.99. Like you suggested -- that 5 pack might be a different 5 pack as she looked into the computer and saw that a new 5 brush set should be displayed this week. I found the brushes on Target.com -- that is how I posted the article -- however, being cheap - I wanted to save the S + H. I will try again at the end of the week and if they are not there I will dig down and order on line and pay the S + H. I have to admit I was surprised by the feel of those brushes they did have for very reasonable prices.
