$49 at Dr. Denese
Unlike a lot of other serums out there that take forever to sink into my skin or leave it looking greasy, this excellent serum by Dr. Denese does just the opposite. After washing and toning, I apply this - all over - and wait a few minutes. It's like I have nothing on my face, but the proof is in the softness of my skin and how hydrated and smooth it looks - but not in a greasy, shiny way - it's more like a satin-y matte look that just makes my moisturizer go on like a dream and lock in the hydration. The result is comfortable, soft skin that lasts the whole day. I was enabled by the videos on Dr. Denese's website - just watching her video on this product (the #1 bestseller in the line) had me wanting to try it ! I can see why she's so passionate about it b/c it really does lock in moisture to my skin - it's like it creates a shield to all the environmental junk that causes skin to look aged before its time. Some days I feel like I can just get away with using the serum and can skip moisturizer and just put some spf cream on and go - that's something I usually can not do. I tend to always need moisturizer, even in the summer. My skin drinks it up. It's so good to see so many women doctors with such great lines of skincare that really address our skin's needs - Dr. Denese has products that address everything from fine lines to large pores to under eyecircles. She basically covers it all - and I think the moisturizing serum can be used in conjunction with all of her skincare as the perfect starting point - even if you're oily, you can still target spots on your face with this. Luckily (luckily?) I'm dry, so I can use this all over....and I do. It feels like a luxurious treat for my face. Good stuff!
