Cakedoo1 says... Well, well, well this is the first wash that I have come across that is designed to accompany a tanless system, I love it. It's light, not too heavy and isn't full of heavy detergents so you could go lightly over your face and be ok.. I did find that using this before applying the the Aqua Tan System did give my skin a better canvas to absorb the tanner. The first time I used it, it  poured out, it's pretty loose.  In an effort to make it last longer I gingerly squeeze the tube right into a bath pouf and from there I am ready to go. It does a great job cleaning my skin and leaving it feeling soft and smooth.. If you are going to jump and get the Aqua Tan, I completely recommend getting the gelee you will not be sorry, great system that delivers a really nice natural look!

Make up Addict adds her 2 cents:  I have never known a Self Tanner to have a cleanser to accompany it for best results -- however, Aqua Tan knows what they are doing.  It is a bit surprising that no one thought of this sooner.  Aqua Tan Gentle Exfoliating Gelée is very watery and can run through your hands.  .  . so beware!!  You do not want any of this precious liquid slipping away.  I totally agree with Cakedoo 1's suggestion to squeeze the tube up to a bath pouf or a facial mitt.  DO NOT WASTE a drop -- use it smartly.  You will feel great while using it -- it foams up nicely and it does a serious job of exfoliating.  This truly does prepare you skin for the self-tanning.  It removes anything and everything that might block the tan and cause spottiness in your tan.  It will ensure a very smooth and even tan so it is definitely worth the extra step to prep for the self-tanning.  There are no traces of oil or dirt or any other residue to interfere with your self-tanning.  It does have a scent which I find difficult to describe except to say that it is NOT unpleasant and it does fade away when rinsed.   Aqua Tan Gentle Exfoliating Gelée leaves your skin polished and primed for the tanning process!!!

The Aqua Tan Gentle Exfoliating Gelle is a great combination to the self tanning lotion.  The gel has a very light scent and is a fine exfoliating tool to smooth your body out before applying the self tanner.  I really liked this product because unlike other products this does not dry out your skin and still exfoliates your body without being too harsh.  Like the others I too used a both pouf because the product is so thin and hard to hold onto.  The gel leaves your body feeling smooth and clean and a great canvas to apply the lotion.

METSV adds:  A MUST for before you self tan.  This gel gently but effectively gets the dead skin off leaving you with soft skin and a perfect canvas for applying your self tanner.   I wiped out my tube a while ago b/c I was using it even when I wasn't self tanning!  I just loved how it made my skin feel - hydrated and smooth - and I really like the light, fresh green-tea-ish scent - very refreshing.  I too used a pouf for this gel b/c it did tend to slip through my fingers - but it worked quite well on the pouf - it foamed nicely and I was able to get my entire self done with just a squeeze or two on the pouf.  I just want to say again what a great line of products Aqua Tan has.  They do self-tanning right and I'm just happy to have found a line I can rely on when I want that glow!
