The amika™ styler features 100% ceramic plates (unlike other styling tools that claim to feature ceramic plates but just have a thin coating). Ceramic plates radiate far-infrared heat, preserving moisture in the hair shaft and protecting the hair cuticle from damage. In fact, regular use of the amika™ styler results in healthier hair.
Far Infrared Heat softens your hair faster, works to seal in the hair’s cuticle, locks in hair color, and gives you the same silky, glossy results you expect from your professional hair salon. Your final result is incredibly shiny, silky, static-free, no-frizz, manageable hair with unlimited styling potential.
Features & Benefits: + 100% ceramic plates + infrared and negative-ion technology + ultra-light weight and intuitive design + ready to use in 10 seconds + superior professional hair styling at home

cakedoo1 says.. Umm, I don't know how long I have been using a straightening Iron but it's been a while, probably 5 + years.. A straightening does things for me that my natural hair don't do, I have straight hair with a wave here and there, it's totally annoying.. The kind of wave that makes the back of my blunt cut look like a bump and a wave in my bangs that don't allow them to be straight for very long, they get a bit squiggly so I turned to ceramic stylers for help.. They instantly create that smooth amazing straight look.. So when Amika generously allowed me to review their 1.25 True Tattoo Ceramic Styler, I jumped at the opportunity.. Not only does Amika offer the heat I need but looks at the style, this makes styling fun, True Tattoo speaks for itself, this is a line that is fashion forward and in your face - which translates to me, hairstyling that goes beyond my expectations..
First off - Amika heats up super quick so I get get to getting asap.. I am always working and multitasking so I need a quick response time.. My hair texture is fine, I have a lot of it but it's fine so I need a styler that grips my hair, none of this slipping through the plates, Amika holds it and doesn't pull or get any hairs caught (believe me, there are irons our there that grab strands - Oooo), so Amika can pick up the smallest amount of my hair and gently guide through.. Big Plus for me
Secondly, When I am in a rush, I don't have time to section off my hair and straighten it in what I call layers, I pile all of my hair on the top of my head then pull sections out so I get that super straight smooth look.. Some morning I can do most I can't so when I can't I want an iron that will perform even if I am ironing larger section.. Amika: can do this and does it well, the heat penetrates those large sections and voila, smooth, straight hair.. It looks really good
Thirdly, when I am straightening, I want my hair to look straight from root to end, Amika does allow my to get right to the root! I don't want to look like I straightened my hair, I want it to look natural.. I have been many a females with iron marks, the marks that come from an iron that doesn't get to the root so there is a bend in the hair... How cheap is that? In my eyes VERY! I am very pleased to share that I can get really close to my roots and the best part is that I don't even feel the heat on my scalp, so no burning or mishaps..
Finally, I want a styler that will keep the look, if you have used a styler then you know when you leave in the am and look at yourself during the day, your hair can grow, a little volume is added, with Amika: my hair remains smooth and it doesn't rise, it stays smooth and looks straight and lush... I have a tall order when it comes to my styler, I use it everyday so I am willing to spend the money and a good style lasts for a long time so I get my monies worth.. I really believe that if you look into the Amika: line you are going to find a styler that speaks to you, they are fun, hip and really achieve the look!
I don't want to bore you but I want to share some of my other findings.. Amika: rocks when it comes to my flipping out my doo too, it holds the flip with no spray ALL day and when I get up the next am its still flippin! I can't believe it.. I recently got a chop so my hair is above my shoulders and a little shorter in back, I have had no problems getting a hold of the back and pulling it through the styler plates. I also do my bangs, my trick is (first off, I have heavy fringed bangs) I will do a little section, that is close to my hair line then a natural section over that then another small section ironed, this ensures my squiggle is straight and my fringe is shown off but my bangs don't look like they were straightened.. YEAH! Perfection...
So another great styling tip is using like a curling iron I can get some volume and curls by wrapping my hair around the styler.. All in all, a wonderful experience.. What can I say, it's hot enough, easy to use, I get the styles I want and they last, point blank, a winner in my book!
